There has been no resurgence in employment according to Cassis, who also asks why the film business gets incentives when other businesses don't.

An original look at the pitch to get Hollywood in Michigan
When the Michigan Film Incentive was created, the state needed to find a way to lure Hollywood productions here besides a tax break. Why not use a little old fashioned humor to get the job done? In this 2008 video, Michigan takes a light-hearted look at itself to promote the tax incentives and the state as a whole.
